Since 2003 Eva Stegeman is one of the music directors of the European Union Chamber Orchestra, which performs always without conductor. She also leads the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss am Rhein, the Arezzo Ensemble and the Musica Nexus Ensemble on a regular basis. In 2015 she traveled to Daejeon, South-Korea, where she led the Deajeon Philharmonic Orchestra in a chamber music composition (Beethoven - String quartet 'Serioso', Elgar - Serenade for Strings and Holst - St Paul's Suite). In 2007 she lead a series of perfromances of Mozart's opera Don Giovanni in Thansau (Germany), together with stage director Eva Buchmann.

Eva: "Leading an orchestra without conductor is always an inspiring challenge; it requires extra communication skills, flexibility and input of all players; making chamber music with such a large group is a thrilling experience."
As concertmaster Eva Stegeman is a regular guest in different orchestras, such as the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, Casco Phil (Belgian Chamberphilharmonic), the Orkest van het Oosten, Het Brabants Orkest and the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss am Rhein.
The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra asks her on a regular basis as guest leader of the second chair. From 2007 until 2012 Eva was the first concert master of Sinfonia Rotterdam.
During festivals she leads ad-hoc-formations and chamberorchestras (without conductor), whereof she forges close and inspired ensembles in a very short period of time.
